Summary

Background

Lambeaux Studio is a new brand founded by fashion designer Faith Jennings, who wanted to bring her multiple clothing lines under one elegant, unified identity. Her vision was to reflect the values that define her work—slow fashion, life-work balance, eco-consciousness, and heirloom quality. After being left in the lurch by another designer, Faith came to MGalen Design with a tight deadline and a clear goal: to create a complete brand system in time for her upcoming markets.

Challenge

The project demanded precise coordination and communication to meet the accelerated timeline. We established clear milestones, check-ins, and deliverables to ensure a smooth process. In addition, this was our first time designing for garment tags, requiring us to carefully consider materials, print limitations, and the fold and orientation of each tag to ensure both beauty and legibility.

Results

We delivered a refined, timeless visual identity that Faith could take straight to market. The logo combines fine serif lines with a painterly brushstroke “L,” balancing high-fashion sophistication with artisanal warmth. The hang tags evoke vintage Italian postcards, featuring Faith’s own watercolor artwork that inspired the collection’s color palette. Every element feels collectible—reinforcing the brand’s commitment to longevity and craftsmanship.

Faith launched her new brand on schedule, complete with printed tags and brand materials ready for her debut event.

“I got lots of positive responses from customers and friends. Thank you again for all your efforts to help me meet this goal.”

Process

Discovery & Strategy

We began with a discovery meeting to understand Faith’s design philosophy, business goals, and the emotional tone she wanted Lambeaux Studio to convey. From this, we created mood boards exploring themes of natural luxury, refined simplicity, and timeless craftsmanship. Given the tight deadline, we developed logo directions simultaneously—refining the monogram, logotype, and full logo in parallel to stay agile and efficient.

Design

Our goal was to design something iconic yet intimate—a mark that could live gracefully on everything from digital channels to delicate clothing tags. We experimented with serifs and fine lines to reference high fashion and brush textures to express the human, handmade touch. Through iterative feedback rounds, we found a balance that communicated value, authenticity, and sophistication without feeling pretentious.

Visual Identity Guide

To complete the project, we built a comprehensive brand style guide organizing all logo variations, typography, and color applications. This guide helps Faith and her team easily understand how to use the brand consistently across all platforms and materials. By visualizing the system as a whole, Faith could see the elegance and flexibility of her new identity—and feel confident in taking it forward.

“I'm loving my new logo, the softness of the 100% cotton tags is pleasing to work with as I assemble the late summer collection.”
